What is the age eligibility for receiving the Fukuoka Prefecture Child-rearing Support Payment?
You can receive the payment for children aged 0 to 18 who were born in the period beginning April 2, 2007, and ending March 31, 2026.
If I moved out of Fukuoka Prefecture between October 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026, will I be eligible for the payment?
You will be eligible for the payment if you received the national support allowance from a municipality within Fukuoka Prefecture.
I received the national support allowance from a municipality within Fukuoka Prefecture, but I haven’t received any notification from the prefecture concerning this payment. Do I need to do anything to receive the payment?
If you received the national support allowance from a municipality within Fukuoka Prefecture, payment notifications are being sent out in stages by municipality.
Why does the number of eligible children listed on the payment notification does not include newborns born on or after October 1, 2025?
For newborns born on or after October 1, 2025, who are eligible for the national support allowance, the application process differs from that for siblings; therefore, payment notifications may be sent in multiple installments. In such cases, the total number of eligible children listed on each payment notification will correspond to the actual number of children.
I got married (or divorced) after receiving the national support allowance and have changed my last name and the name on the bank account used for payments. Do I need to take any further action?
The “Recipient’s Name” and “Bank Account Details” listed on the payment notification for the Fukuoka Prefecture Child-rearing Support Payment are based on the information provided when you received the national Child-Rearing Support Allowance.
The recipient of the national support allowance has passed away. In this case, do I need to complete any procedures?
Current recipients of the Child Allowance are eligible for this payment. We need to verify your eligibility, so please contact the Fukuoka Prefecture Child-rearing Support Payment Call Center (Tel: 092-401-1685).
I live in a rental property, and I received a payment notification that appears to be addressed to the previous resident. What should I do?
We apologize for the inconvenience, but do not open the payment notification. Instead, please attach a sticky note to the front of the envelope and write "前住人宛てのため、差出人に戻して下さい" on it, and either drop it in a nearby mailbox or contact your local post office.
